Resumen
The objective of this research project is to develop a proposal for a system to improve and control spare parts inventories at Fotón Industries, an automotive company located in the city of Duitama. The importance of this project mainly focuses on the relevance of inventories for an organization, given that a lack of efficiency can lead to economic losses, operational problems, and even negative effects on service and business productivity. An initial diagnosis identified multiple shortcomings in inventory management, including the absence of accurate records and excess stock.
