Configuración del apego en la adultez a partir de las vivencias emocionales de la infancia

Resumen

This study aimed to determine the emotional experiences in childhood that shape attachment in adulthood, using a qualitative narrative approach based on the experiences of women belonging to a foundation. Their family dynamics, affectivity, and significant relationships throughout life were explored; the results show that childhood was marked by emotional absence of caregivers, limited affective availability, and scarce emotional validation, which are projected into adulthood as insecurity, fear of abandonment, and difficulties in forming stable relationships. However, processes of reflection were also identified, allowing the re-signification of these experiences and the construction of new ways of relating; likewise, the role of support networks is highlighted as spaces for emotional support that promote containment and transformation. It is concluded that attachment is a dynamic construct that, although it originates in childhood, can be re-signified throughout the life cycle.
