Resumen
Business development and success is a function of competitiveness; However, a fundamental variable to be part of the national and transnational market, competitiveness in recent years has been related to the need not only to achieve economic objectives, but also to contribute to local development in its closest environment. In this sense, this research seeks to know the relationship between competitiveness and local development, through the category of human resources. Human resources are a fundamental component for the growth and empowerment of industries and a possible channel to contribute directly to local development.
