Resumen
Remittances are the result of the phenomenon of migration which has been developed in different eras and has been existed along way with history, since it has been shown the importance of factors that involved making decisions to the migration process to occur and with them made remittance shipment to migrant’s country of origin. In Colombia, the origin of remittances has been happened due to three big migratory waves that have been happening along XX and begins of XXI century. Remittances towards Colombia have been have a big contribution from the United States of America and Spain due to job opportunities that this countries have been offered to immigrants. Similarly, there are some factors that involved shipment of remittances of employers in which they can be regulatory and/or personal decisions that have welfare effects.
