Resumen
The concept of family has undergone multiple transformations in our country throughout history, which is why this research aims to establish through a normative - jurisprudential study if in Colombia there is a legal concept about the family, where they take into account the constitutional foundations in the recognition of new ways of establishing the family; every time, that the Political Constitution of 1991 recognizes as a fundamental right to have a family and attaches great importance to it within the structure and organization of the Colombian State as it is considered as an essential nucleus of society.
