Resumen
Alternative medicine has boomed in recent years, among these is music therapy, which as a complementary method has been used in human medicine, for the management of different pathologies, including cognitive, social and emotional. In the field of veterinary medicine, this has been used without being aware of it, since a long time ago its use had been practiced in different animal species. With the passing of the years, more and more studies of this therapy are carried out in humans and with them it is used as a model to expand this field in subsequent investigations in animals. By varying the characteristics of the music such as speed, tonality and distinguishing the different genres, mainly classical music, it has been possible to observe whether or not exposure to these interventions causes, in the different animal species, any behavioral and / or physiological change depending on the type of intervention.
