Resumen
Maintaining Colombia's status as a country free of foot-and-mouth disease by vaccination implies enormous government efforts in the hands of livestock associations and laboratories producing the vaccine. However, some reports from Veterinarians and dairy cattle owners, on the negative effects of the vaccine on the health and well-being of the animals and the productivity of their herds, discourage the use of this biological. Based on this problem, this research work was developed to determine the effect of the vaccination process on stress levels and some blood parameters and productive indicators of this in dairy cows.
