Resumen
The general objective of this project is to carry out an implementation guide for an inventory management system under the just-in-time philosophy, taking into account the requirements guidelines of the company Va Vitroalum, since it does not have inventory management policies, which has not allowed to fully control the materials and their logistics processes. The company is located in the industrial park of Duitama Boyacá and is dedicated to the manufacture and installation of structures, metalwork, aluminum and glass. For the outcome of the project, four phases were established, which allowed to carry out a survey of information on the historical demand of the projects worked in 2018 and 2019, allowing establishing and classifying the most relative products by families and by the ABC method. Where, based on these, control policies and management strategies for the different references are proposed, under calculations of standard deviation and service probabilities that allow estimating a safety and reordering inventory.
