Resumen

This research work seeks to expose the concept of "bio trade" as an opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (Pyres) in Colombia, making a review of those first world countries and making a comparative and competitive analysis of Colombia with Peru, a country that promotes such activities in Latin America. All of the above will be developed in three phases mentioned below. In the first phase of the research project a data collection is made, by means of bibliographic and documentary references of European countries that promote bio trade activities, to carry out an analysis in which the importance of the same in developed countries can be perceived and thus be able to analyze how Colombia can take advantage of the biodiversity it has to generate the three phases of sustainability that are: Economic, social and environmental, generating new employment options seeking to improve its exports.
