Resumen
The document argues that after the 1970s, Bogotá began a process of horizontal growth, which included some neighboring municipalities in Cundinamarca. This expansion phenomenon is explained by the increase in land values in central areas of the city. This caused disadvantaged populations to be displaced to live in the urban peripheries of the capital city and thus be able to access education and employment in the city.
