Resumen
This work proposes an improvement in the picking time at a Distribution Center (CEDI) of a Catalog Sales Company, through the implementation of the 5S methodology with a focus on Lean Logistics principles. The overall objectives are to develop an improvement proposal to enhance operational control in the warehouse and apply the 5S tools. Specific objectives include creating a checklist to assess the current state of the CEDI regarding the implementation of the 5S principles, proposing specific improvements for delivery operations based on the 5S principles, and conducting an economic analysis of the improvement proposal considering costs and benefits. With this proposal, the aim is to enhance organization, cleanliness, standardization, and operational efficiency at the CEDI to optimize picking time and achieve higher profitability.
