Diseño e implementación del curso de promoción y prevención para mejorar el aprendizaje de la salud pública con estudiantes de medicina de la universidad Antonio Nariño a través de la utilización de actividades pedagógicas centradas en el análisis de casos prácticos

Resumen

This research is part of a line of studies that seek to promote meaningful learning, as an experience that allows students to put public health regulations in Colombia into practice and experience in the training of general practitioners at the Antonio Nariño University (UAN). Part of the evidence shows that public health is an activity aimed at improving the health of the population: "health is not only the absence of disease, but also the state of somatic, psychological, and social well-being of the individual and the community" (Navarro, 1999, p. 49). Through teaching in this area, it is evident that medical trainees have little interest in this discipline. This has a considerable impact if the costs of treating preventable diseases through educational actions are reviewed, which could be reduced through public health actions such as education, the promotion of healthy lifestyles, and disease prevention.
