Resumen
This research transmits life stories of six mothers of boys who share some social representations about masculinity, initially in its process of upbringing and subsequently in the transmission of these to their children. An interview is carried out semi-structured where themes of analysis arise such as hegemonic masculinities, being women/motherhoods, masculinities in school and transformations on social representations about masculinity. Through discourse analysis, recognizes that mothers have considerable influence from male role models hegemonic structures that are resignifying and forming men who will normalize respect, equity and equality.
