¿Teleworkers or tele exploited? Implications in work and extra-work experiences in pandemic in Argentina

Resumen
The global COVID-19 pandemic altered the foundations of the labor market in Argentina, accentuating social inequalities. The companies reconsidered the potential of teleworking because this dimension of analysis delimited the future of the organization, of work and personal life. This paper synthesizes two objectives: first, to describe how the pandemic affected the work and non-work activity of teleworkers. The second objective was to explore the future of work, delving into what they think companies will do and what the worker wants. Anchored in transdisciplinary approaches and situated in a phenomenological interpretive perspective of a qualitative nature, an asynchronous exploratory and descriptive study (2020-2021) was designed, the non-probabilistic sampling included 113 volunteer subjects and the collection tool was the semi-structured in-depth interview. Under the apparent expression of job satisfaction, were hidden overload, lack of employer support in terms of equipment, increased control, fear of unemployment, anxiety, dissatisfaction with superiors and a greater demand for confidence in work in leadership styles. The availability of soft skills, the right to disconnection and privacy, were raised to defend a healthy balance between work and non-work life.
