Perceptions About the Strategy: Learning Cranial Anatomy Based on the Construction of a 3D Model

Resumen
Introduction: Technology is a resource that complements the study and learning technique of anatomy. However, the use of these digital tools in students must be accompanied by strategies that favor motor skills, three-dimensio- nal conception and visuospatial of anatomical detail. Objective: This research aims to evaluate the perception of students regarding the construction of 3D models. Materials and methods: An observational, descriptive study was carried out, where 82 students of morphology of medicine were included. The work was based on the construction of a 3D model of cranial bones using soap as an easily accessible material. Results: High levels of satisfaction with the activity and a high perception of learning were presented. The average age was 19.39 years and 76.8% were women. 78.1% reported satisfaction with the ease of learning, 54.8% considered the activity difficult and 80.4% considered the activity useful. Conclusion: It can be concluded that the perception of medical students regarding this activity is positive, since it allows methodical and creative learning, it is useful, interesting, inexpensive, generates motivation and facilitates learning by having good planning. However, this activity has some aspects that can be improved, such as the time it takes to complete the activity and student indifference.
