Dinámica de las familias de niños con diagnósticos de cáncer, revisión de literatura

In a child with cancer, illness and treatment are factors that deprive him of being able to maintain his usual habits, and this is where the family or caregiver must restructure his routines in order to dedicate himself to the care of the sick child. Objective: To analyze the functionality of families of children who have been diagnosed with some type of cancer. Methodology: Qualitative literature review, in the databases of Proquest and Science Direct. The descriptors caregiver, child care, caregiver, dynamic family were used. The inclusion criteria were: being published in the last ten years, being studies in which findings on family functionality of the child with cancer are reported. Results: 45 articles met the selection criteria. 39 articles contributed to the analysis of family functionality and 6 of nursing interventions. Conclusion: It is necessary that from nursing strategies aimed at providing comprehensive care, including the primary caregiver or family of the child with a girl with cancer, in order to minimize alterations in family functionality.
