Nivel de conocimiento sobre tamización de cáncer gástrico, colon y recto por parte de estudiantes de último año de medicina en dos centros hospitalarios en el año 2017

Cancer is a pathology that is having a strong impact on mortality rates both in the world and in Colombia. Gastric and colorectal cancer occupy the first places of cause of cancer death in men and women, that is reason it is necessary to know if the students of last year of medicine have acquired the competences and the knowledge according to the guidelines given by the guidelines of clinical practice given by the Ministry of Health, the Colombian Association of Gastroenterology and the National Institute of Cancerology, in addition to RIAS and APS models. This research was carried out with the purpose of knowing the level of knowledge in students of last year of medicine due to the increase that these pathologies have had and the screening strategies to reduce their incidence and, for this, which evaluated the level of knowledge, used a survey previously validated by experts resulting in the vast majority of respondents have no specific knowledge of gastric and colorectal cancer. Therefore, it is important that the universities are governed by the guidelines of the CPG and impart this knowledge to their students.
