Desarrollo de un prototipo para la transcripción de braille a audio con respuesta inmediata mediante machine learning para la asistencia en el aprendizaje de braille
Visual impairment is a condition that significantly impacts how people interact with their environment, creating challenges related to access to information, education, and full participation in society. In response to this reality, the Braille system has become a fundamental tool for promoting the inclusion and autonomy of people with visual limitations, as it allows them to access written knowledge through a tactile reading and writing system adapted to their needs. Despite its importance, learning and using Braille faces several difficulties stemming from its unique characteristics. Writing it requires specific procedures that differ from conventional writing, while reading it demands adequate tactile sensitivity to accurately identify the arrangement of the raised dots. These requirements often create perceptions of complexity that can discourage learning and limit its integration into daily life. However, the relevance of Braille transcends the difficulties associated with its acquisition. Mastering it promotes equitable access to education, strengthens personal independence, and contributes to the effective exercise of the rights of people with visual impairments. Therefore, it is necessary to promote pedagogical and technological strategies that facilitate their learning, reduce existing barriers, and strengthen the processes of social and educational inclusion
