Resumen
The present research is framed within the study of the perceptions of a group of 207 tenth and eleventh-grade students from an educational institution in the city of Soacha, Cundinamarca, regarding the use and relevance of smartphones in the classroom, particularly for physics classes. Based on this, a Likert-type questionnaire with 20 statements was established, categorized into three groups, and the responses were subsequently analyzed. The objective of this research is to observe the educational potential of smartphones in the classroom, based on students' perceptions, identifying the challenges and opportunities for their proper integration into teaching and learning processes, with the aim of proposing pedagogical strategies that maximize their benefits in the educational field. This investigative process is based on the framework of exploratory-interpretative qualitative research. Through this approach, a highly positive trend was evidenced regarding the use and utilization of smartphones in the classroom for physics classes, subject to regulations and training for their effective implementation.
