Escaneo láser 3d para generación de modelos as-built en edificaciones

Tellez Perilla, Daniel MateoAsesor: Segura Bolivar, John Alexander

3D laser scanning has become one of the most efficient technologies for capturing accurate geometric information from existing buildings. This study addresses the application of terrestrial laser scanning for the generation of *as-built* models, which accurately represent the actual conditions of a constructed facility. The process involves the acquisition of point clouds using 3D laser scanning equipment, the registration and processing of the collected data, and the subsequent development of digital models for the documentation and analysis of existing infrastructure. The proposed methodology is based on the capture of high-density geometric data, followed by data alignment, filtering, and digital modeling procedures. The results demonstrate that the use of 3D laser scanning significantly improves accuracy, reduces surveying time, and minimizes errors associated with traditional measurement methods. Furthermore, the generated *as-built* models provide a valuable tool for facility management, maintenance, rehabilitation, and planning activities in architecture, engineering, and construction projects. It is concluded that the integration of 3D laser scanning into building documentation processes enables the creation of reliable and detailed digital representations, supporting more efficient decision-making and improved lifecycle management of built assets.
