Aportes a la formación del profesor de biología desde una perspectiva crítica: articulación entre historia y epistemología de las ciencias y el uso de las tic (estudio de caso de los microorganismos asociado al uso indiscriminado de los antibióticos)

This research aimed to analyze the contributions of an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tool, designed as an interactive infographic, to the understanding of the inappropriate use of antibiotics as a socioscientific issue, considering its historical and epistemological relationship with the concept of microorganisms and its contribution to the citizenship education of pre-service Biology teachers at the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas. The study adopted a qualitative approach through a case study and the Design-Based Research (DBR) methodology, integrating the design, implementation, and evaluation of a didactic proposal grounded in the history and epistemology of science, the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), and the teaching of socioscientific issues. Data were collected through a diagnostic questionnaire, a teacher's journal, an open-ended questionnaire, and a focus group, and were analyzed using categories developed throughout the research process. The findings showed that the implementation of the didactic tool fostered critical understanding of the concept of microorganisms, bacterial resistance, and the inappropriate use of antibiotics as a socio-environmental issue. Furthermore, interaction with the interactive infographic promoted reflections related to critical thinking, citizenship education, and the role of future Biology teachers in addressing contemporary socioscientific issues.
