Diseño de un plan de interconexión de cuatro nodos de telecomunicaciones para la empresa rc comunicaciones en Bogotá
The objective of this internship project is to design an interconnection plan for four telecommunications nodes belonging to RC Comunicaciones, located in Bogotá, in order to improve service availability and continuity. Currently, the nodes operate independently, creating single points of failure and a high dependence on connectivity providers. To carry out the project, an initial assessment of the existing infrastructure was conducted to identify the network’s main risks and limitations. Based on this analysis, functional and non-functional requirements were established, and various interconnection technologies were evaluated. As a result, a network architecture with a partial mesh topology was proposed, integrating fiber-optic links and radio links, along with the use of the OSPF routing protocol. Additionally, a structured IP addressing scheme was proposed, along with primary and backup links, and the creation of per-node routing tables, enabling automatic traffic rerouting in the event of failures. Finally, a plan was developed for the future implementation of the design. The results show that the proposal significantly contributes to improving service availability and reducing dependence on single links.
