The present work of degree is focused in the productive potential that has the milpesos palm (Oenocarpus bataua) in the municipality of La Macarena with respect to the Territorial Spaces of Training and Reincorporation (ETCR) as an alternative of work based on the legality and the incorporation of the different actors that were part of the armed conflict in the group corresponding to the FARC-UP, emphasizing the demobilized actors of the La Macarena region. It reveals a prospective study based on the activity of the milpesos palm (Oenocarpus bataua) in the area due to its different offers in goods and services since it is a quite resistant species, with biological characteristics that show potential for the sustainable use which allows us to provide a range of activities for the demobilized population that allows them to return to civilian life, perform legal tasks and work in a friendly and sustainable way with the environment. This specie is common and widely distributed in the neo-tropics and to which different uses of the stem, leaves, flowers and mainly fruits have been attributed. The purpose of this paper is to present the different compendia from secondary information that has been carried out by different public institutions, agencies and universities on the subject that allow to unify information and data to structure a perspective analysis in terms of the use of the milpesos palm (Oenocarpus bataua) as an activity in the municipality of La Macarena, in the Territorial Training and Reincorporation Spaces (ETCR). The multiple uses that are attributed to the palm milpesos, and oils extracted from its fruits, make it a highly attractive resource for local markets, national and internationally. For this reason, this paper seeks proposes an economic perspective for the demobilized population within the Peace Process at La Macarena area.
