Resumen

This essay reflects on the challenges and possibilities of teaching history in Colombia, with reference to the experience of the Mexican process. For this, we will take into account comments made at a school in Mexico City, and an overview of the dynamics in which the teaching of history in Colombia develops, the structure on which this activity is based, as well as the problems that have been identified from the removal of the chair of history at primary and secondary education in this South american country.
