Renaturalización urbana por medio de la compacidad aplicada en los bordes del barrio El Recuerdo y el río Bogotá
Urban fringes are commonly understood as city limits, responding to their political characteristics in terms of land division and/or development areas within their boundaries. However, they are important territories for the transition of relations between urban and rural areas, framed in the natural context and represented in the protection of environmental areas that contribute to the functioning of cities, contributing not only to the welfare of the diversity of flora and fauna, but also to the existence of the human species through a context rich in urban ecosystem services that regulate the inherent needs of citizens and the place they inhabit. Part of the process carried out from this master's degree final work is framed in the analysis of the El Recuerdo neighborhood and its surroundings at different scales, in order to identify the most relevant problems regarding the consolidation of transitional spaces and their relationship between the urban and rural context, understanding the environmental wealth found in the place and the lack of effective public space due to the informal consolidation of the territory, proposing alternatives for the improvement of the urban quality of the sector and their residents.
