Percepción de las competencias pedagógicas de un docente universitario del area de enfermería

Resumen

The general purpose of this study was to reveal the perception of the pedagogical skills possessed by university professors in the area of nursing. This approach was framed in the line of educational management research in which the pedagogical skills of the university teacher are based, its qualitative approach and the method used to address the phenomenon was the phenomenological-hermeneutic. The technique and instrument to collect the data was the in-depth interview; Therefore, three (3) key informants were selected who contributed through their experience their point of view of pedagogical skills and their technique for analysis was triangulation, this allowed the findings related to the study to be categorized and structured through matrices in order to be able to interrelate the epistemological, axiological and methodological principles that underpin pedagogical skills. The significant findings elucidated the fact that the pedagogical competences of the university teacher invariably depend on the personal contribution of the individual, but also on the environment in which they carry out their functions, taking into account the need to design strategic plans that allow not only the development of educational competences consonas in charge but to act for the improvement of students in order to strengthen and improve the educational process.
