Resumen

Through an experimental qualitative research, the present work will focus on the development of an urban and architectural design project, located in the city of Armenia, Quindío, more specifically in the center of the city, this in order to improve the current problems caused by informal commerce and the lack of public space in the area. Having as a priority the study and analysis of the protagonists of the sector to intervene, the street vendors; An urban and architectural design will be carried out that will include an area of the city center, connecting two representative points of the city, the Municipal Administrative Center (CAM) and the Quindío Government; For this, project strategies and participatory design were applied to generate a suitable space for street vendors, pedestrians and inhabitants of the place, in addition to a detailed bibliographic review that makes it possible to understand the space from the vendor, the pedestrian, the aesthetics and the rules
