The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Agroindustry (FASA) of the Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira (UTP) was created in 2017 as a strategic bet for the region that integrates various disciplines. It is oriented towards the scientific, technological, and innovation development of the agricultural, agroindustrial, forestry, and timber sectors, and its proposals take a social and sustainable approach. The mission of FASA involves the creation and implementation of an academic structure of the highest level, which allows for giving an integral response to the needs of the agricultural, agro-industrial, forestry, and wood sectors of the country, from higher education and its articulation with secondary education, teaching, research, and extension.
