Centro cultural: espacios y escenarios para prácticas culturales. Ibagué, Tolima

The city of Ibagué, Tolima has 96 equipments of cultural vocation, of which 4 of them are located in the commune 11 to the south of the urban helmet. In this territory a variety of cultural activities are developed, of traditional aspect, such as folkloric dance, crafts, painting courses among other practices; to this added the appearance of new urban cultures developed by the young population, which is the most affected and stigmatized by a great part of the Ibagueran population, to be practices where their main scenario to realize them are the urban areas, exits of the cultural context that is developed in the municipality. All this, together with the rest of social, environmental and economic problems lead to the development of a cultural center that empowers and provides identity in the territory. It is for this reason that an urban and architectural infrastructure is proposed where the different cultural manifestations can converge for the practice of their activities, generating fabric, entrepreneurship and social inclusion, linking the other cultural, recreational and social and economic development projects, to provide a space in the city that contains all these elements in the same space, articulating the sector and project areas with their natural context and landscape, developing an architectural proposal that meets all regulatory and sustainable aspects in the implementation of materials and spaces.
