Centro especializado en el tratamiento de hemodiálisis municipio de Chaparral (Tolima)

According to the Colombian fund of high-cost diseases, chronic kidney disease is the sixth fastest growing cause and affects 12% of the world's population. In the previous year, 26,022 cases were reported in the center of Tolima, and the figure is estimated to increase by 2% annually. The project center specialized in the treatment of Hemodialysis generates a specialized care service in the south of Tolima in order to meet the demand in this area of the department. Since the conditions of territorial displacement affect the physical state of the patient and the health system. Chaparral is a municipality of high economic activity. This municipality is crossed by a regional road makes it a city of passage, one hundred this a great focus of road access, connected with 6 municipalities where the largest population with renal insufficiency is registered in Tolima, this guarantees a lower displacement territorial in the municipality. The project has 50 Hemodialysis chairs, a 24-hour service that guarantees 150 patients per day, physical therapies, psychological support to the patient and his family. Recreation spaces and artistic expressions in the public space, prevention program and nephrological monitoring for patients with early illness, laboratory, specialized offices, bike parking, natural therapeutic gardens, pedestrian paths, places of permanence and finally a natural harmonic environment.
