Caracterización de la cadena de reutilización de residuos generados en el sector de construcción y demolición (RCD) en la ciudad de Ibagué

The research work was aimed at characterizing the chain of reuse of waste generated in the construction and demolition sector (RCD) in the city of Ibagué; In order to fulfill this objective, the studies carried out regarding the design of reverse supply chains of RCD were reviewed to have the conceptual bases necessary for said characterization, then the current regulations regarding the comprehensive management of such waste were consulted. In this case, resolution 472 of 2017, based on this, the actors involved in each of the links of the chain in the city of Ibagué were identified from generation and use to final disposal. By having contact with the main actors in the chain, the estimate of the amount of RCD that was generated in total was determined, as well as what was taken to final disposal and what was thrown into the environment, with these results it was obtained that most of the waste generated belongs to excavation land that is reused for leveling the terrain of new constructions, it was also detailed that there are economic benefits after the sale of materials such as iron and reduction of costs for reuse of concrete, finally identified that the environmental impact of such wastes is significant since those that are not used are taken into the environment causing health problems and in the same way contamination of the soil, water and air.
