Colombia Anaawaa: un recurso pedagógico para la paz

Colombia Anaawaa is an object book designed from the Philosophy for Children program to contribute to the consolidation of the culture of peace in the country from early childhood. The resource is made up of the story ¿The Flight of Anaawaa¿ and various concrete materials that illustrate it in three dimensions through art to live first-hand experiences. It also includes a user manual that suggests questions and experiences to enrich reading the book through art, play, and interactions. The methodology encompasses Design-based Research and Design Thinking. The resource was implemented in a literary space managed by Libros buenos a la vereda in Usme Rural de Bogotá. The results of this intervention highlighted the relevance of the object book given its literary and didactic design as it attracted the attention of the children, encouraged their active participation and facilitated their visible understanding of central concepts of the culture of peace.This allows us to conclude that it is necessary to continue formulating and implementing teaching materials that make peace learning more tangible and experiential, and less abstract.
