La migración venezolana vista desde la mirada de la niñez

The Venezuelan migratory phenomenon has posed a challenge for the response capacity of the national government of Colombia. This document aims to analyze the successes, failures and strategies that have been implemented in Colombia to address the massive arrival of migrants and returnees from Venezuela, which has increased considerably since 2013 when the economic crisis broke out in the neighboring country. Particularly, the subject will be approached from the perspective of childhood; that is, of those children whose parents or guardians decide to migrate and bring them in search of opportunities and better living conditions. Does Colombia offer this population care programs designed to guarantee their cognitive, language, social and affective development? Can they access health, education and recreation services? These are some of the unknowns that we are addressing through three life stories related to child labor, access to education and access to health.
