De la creatividad a la estructura: un action research project basado en CPS para diseñar un sistema de innovación en The Ideas Factory

Daza Uribe, ValentinaAsesor: Loera Bárcenas, Karina

This research addresses the challenge of structuring innovation at The Ideas Factory (TIF), a creative organization that, following a significant decline in sales, identified the need to strengthen its strategic processes. Through an Action Research Project, the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) model was applied to diagnose the situation, clarify the core challenge and guide the development of solutions aligned with the company’s dynamics. The findings revealed that TIF’s main strength lies in its accumulated creative knowledge and that its key need is to transform this knowledge into a system that aligns processes, decisions and talent. Based on these insights, the TIFNNOVATION model was designed as a hybrid framework integrating strategic clarification, open innovation, creative knowledge management and a governance mechanism based on the ACE filter. The study concludes that structuring innovation through a tailored model can improve strategic alignment, increase operational efficiency and strengthen TIF’s competitiveness, outlining an implementation path that includes optimizing the quotation process, consolidating knowledge assets and adopting iterative innovation cycles to support sustainable growth
