Maternidad en cárceles en Colombia

This working paper proposes a critical literature review on motherhood in prisons in Colombia. To this end, forty-three academic articles and various regulatory sources were analyzed. The guiding question of the text is: What is the existing literature on motherhood in prisons in Colombia? The objective is to conduct a critical analysis using a variety of sources on motherhood in prisons, in which the discussion is divided into three main issues: the institutional structure of prisons, mothers in prison, and the mother-child bond. The state of the art was carried out in phases. In the first phase, articles were searched for and identified in different databases using key terms. In the second phase, academic articles related to the topic were selected using specific criteria. In the third phase, they were organized into analytical categories as a guide for extracting data for the final draft of the text, which includes proposals for future research and conclusions.
