Análisis espacial de la presencia estatal en Colombia
This article proposes a geospatial analytical framework designed to assess and quantify the presence of the state in Colombia’s municipalities through two structural variables: institutional capacity and the provision of public goods. The methodology uses official data at the municipal level and subjects critical variables to geostatistical analysis to identify patterns of association and dependency across the territory. By normalizing and equitably integrating these indicators, a state presence index is generated; its mapping reveals the geography of the state’s presence in Colombia, highlighting clusters of high and low incidence. Ultimately, this approach redefines the state’s presence as a multifactorial and spatial dynamic, offering a precise tool for technical governance and the optimization of public policy in critical territories.
